A guide to SSAS pensions
SSAS stands for Small Self-Administered Scheme. A SSAS is a particular type of occupational pension scheme that is often used by business owners as a means of saving for retirement, whilst retaining more control over the use and investment of monies than is usually the case in other types of pension arrangement. A SSAS is often used as a more flexible alternative to a Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP), particularly where there is likely to be more than one person saving for retirement.
